His background
Involved in wine and cuisine since 1977, he undertook wine studies (from planting vines to bottling wine) in many areas of France as well as in California.
Richard was Maître D and waiter in various restaurants throughout the Outaouais. He has 25 years of traveling and visits to European and American vineyards.
Enologist?
His passion has led him to take on many roles over the years and to continue to increase his knowledge. For instance, he has been (or still is):
- Wine consultant for the Société des alcools du Québec
- Consultant for and representative of Quebec and Ontario wine agencies
- Freelance journalist for many magazines including Vins & Vignes, La Restauration, etc.
- Oenology professor in various colleges and teaching institutions in Quebec and Ontario
- Wine and cuisine columnist for Couleur FM 97,1
